About the aimWest 2006 Scholarship Program

aimWest is a nonprofit professional association that supports and promotes the growth of the interactive and technology industries throughout West Michigan. The organization is offering scholarships to outstanding West Michigan students who demonstrate a passion for the interactive and/or technology fields.

[Note: The scholarship application period has closed for the 2005 scholarship program ... stay tuned to our site for information on the next application period in 2006.]

Criteria

  1. Students must pay for 50% of more of their tuition personally. (No full corporate reimbursement.)
  2. Applicants must be one of the following: 
    i. a college student pursuing a bachelor's degree or master's degree in a technology-related field.
    ii. a high-school student planning to pursue a bachelor's degree in a technology-related field.
    Examples of technology-related degrees:
    1. E-commerce certification
    2. E-business
    3. Computer science
    4. Other degrees will be considered if judged to be relevant.
  3. Applicants must live in one of the following counties: Kent, Ottawa, Allegan, Muskegon, Newaygo, Montcalm, Ionia or Barry.
  4. The application must be received at the address below or e-mailed to  president@glimawest.org by no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2005.

Winners of the scholarship will be publicly announced at the May aimWest event in Grand Rapids. The winners will be informed prior to the event and invited to attend.

Scholarships will be made payable to the student's university for the Fall 2006 semester.
