Amway Online and Social Media Public Relations
As senior specialist on the Amway Online and Social Media Public Relations team, Cindy Droog assists Amway in generating brand awareness and supporting reputation initiatives through blogging, community management, and proactive and reactive response in the digital environment. She also serves on the recently-formed Amway Social Media Business Council which provides guidance, processes, measurement standards and training across the Amway enterprise, including to employees, global affiliates and distributors.
A native of Lorain, Ohio, and graduate of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, Cindy also holds her APR certifcation in public relations. She has worked as vice president of client services and director of media relations for two Grand Rapids-based public relations firms, as well as in various public relations and marketing positions in the consumer packaged goods, professional sports, publishing, and non-profit sectors. Cindy is a former business columnist, former adjuct professor at Grand Valley State University, and a 2005 graduate of the Leadership Grand Rapids program. She resides in Grand Rapids with her husband and two sons.
