Our Speakers:

Laaté Olukotun is an Experience Designer in Steelcase’s Growth Initiatives. Since joining three years ago, he has worked with teams to research opportunities, design and pitch business models, and develop two new brands – Workspring, a high-end offsite facility in Chicago, and 654 Croswell, a coworking space in East Grand Rapids.

He has developed concepts for a range of companies including the Museum of Science & Industry, Mayo Clinic, Mattel, and Motorola. He holds a BA in Economics from Yale University and a Masters of Design from the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Laaté is passionate about creating new products, services and businesses for people, for the planet, and for fun.

Mac Fowler - Elevator Up / The Factory
Throughout his career Mac has always had a bent towards making work more social. As a consultant for most of his perfosional life he's observed how people work in a verity of settings from large cubical farms to home offices and coffee shops. As a web native Mac understands how technology affects the culture of work and lends itself to freeing people to work remotely while still collaborating closely with coworkers and clients. Partnering with Turnstone, Mac recently helped launch The Factory as a place to bring independent workers together to build community around new ways of work and grow entrepreneurial activity in West Michigan.
