If you didn't get a chance to attend, you missed a great networking
event.
The event was at The Stack- an incredible venue. If you have not had
a chance to see it, make it a point to do so soon. I saw a lot of business
cards of being exchanged and saw some faces I haven't seen in a while.
Mary Tornga from Life Cycle Operations LLC gave a short 10 minute
presentation on Life Cycle and their philosophy of software QA. Great stuff. We
also talked about some of the happenings and news of our members.
Here are just a couple of the great things happening to glimaWest
members: Provia: Some excellent client wins and a new web site worth checking
out. Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge: Named one of the best and brightest
companies to work for. Nichols: Acquisition of two new companies. Marcom
Solutions: An agreement with an Ill.-based company for the sales and
distribution of their product. Lambert Edwards & Associates got a client
win from a CAD software firm ...and by the way, ask TJ Ackert about his Lip
Syncing of Johnny Cash tunes.....
We also talked about some related upcoming events: The
2005-2006 economic outlook will be presented by the Right Place Program on
December 15th (details at the Right Place website). Startup Central has another
entrepreneurs meeting on December 6 (details at the Ideaworks LLC website).
Changes: Those in attendance got a preview of the changes on the
www.glimawest.org website. A new jobs section and a related events section has
been added.
And last, but not least, we had some new and renewing members over
the last month:
