Foxbright Announces Growth-Driven Move To Downtown Grand Rapids Headquarters
Foxbright, a West Michigan-based technology company specializing in the design
and development of web-based software applications, announced that it has moved
its offices to 161 Ottawa Ave. NW, Suite 412, in the historic Waters Building.
Spurred by the success of its newly released Content Management System (CMS),
now powering the websites of several Michigan school districts and educational
consortia, Foxbright has grown from 5 to 12 fulltime staff since the beginning
of this year. The new 3,000 square foot office space will accommodate more
growth, which is anticipated over the full sweep of Foxbright’s engineering,
service, research and development, and sales and marketing activities.
Foxbright’s CMS has been extremely well-received “because it is simply the most
functional tool available for complex organizations like school districts that
have to keep their website content fresh, but at the lowest cost and with the
greatest degree of flexibility,” says Rob Huisingh, Vice President of Sales and
Marketing for Foxbright. Historically, modifications to complex websites were
made by an individual webmaster or a small group of technology experts.
Foxbright’s CMS enables people throughout the organization to change website
content quickly and easily. “Our CMS can turn everyone in an organization into
a webmaster.”
To accommodate the increasing demand for their products and supporting
services, Foxbright has “assembled a phenomenal team,” says Huisingh. “We are
extremely selective, so being able to find the individuals we have has been a
tremendous success, and now we have a corporate home appropriate for them.”
Foxbright sees an increasing need for highly trained and highly qualified
software engineers and technology developers. As more industries recognize the
benefits of creating truly dynamic websites, they will move toward automating
some or all of their web presence with Foxbright’s CMS tool. “Our custom,
web-delivered software solutions are gaining champions in manufacturing and
professional services organizations. For healthcare organizations— really any
information- rich website whose users demand fresh, relevant, timely
content—our CMS is an ideal solution,” says Huisingh.
Foxbright’s first full year of operation shows significant growth for each
quarter, as its market share steadily increases. The company’s growth is also a
result of Foxbright’s strong commitment to innovation. “We invest a great deal
in product and process development,” says Foxbright’s President, Catherine
Ettinger . “With the rollout of our new CMS software, we expect steady growth
over the next several years.” About Foxbright: Foxbright specializes in helping
health care, manufacturing, education, and professional services organizations
improve operations and competitive advantage by creating and leveraging
appropriate software and web technologies. Our solutions help companies
generate sales, improve customer service, and streamline business processes to
manage growth.

CellSTART awarded Best of Show at DigitalLife 2006
Holland, Michigan-based Crayon Interface and JBS Technologies of Steubenville,
Ohio have been awarded “Best in Show” for their CellSTART™ product from
DigitalLife 2006. The expo, which ran from October 12 – October 15 in New York
City , showcased the latest in new technology for the home, automotive and
video gaming markets.
CellSTART allows users to control keyless entry, remote start and vehicle
security systems through cell phones. The product uses proprietary software
that provides a graphical interface on the cell phone for functions such as
unlocking and locking doors, starting and stopping the engine, and providing
notifications to users in the event of vehicle theft. By utilizing cellular
technology, CellSTART connects people to their vehicles regardless of distance
or obstructions, unlike the current remote start and vehicle security systems
being sold today.
“Receiving the ‘The Best in Show’ award at DigitalLife is certainly a great
testament to the innovation behind CellSTART,” said Garrick Pohl , Crayon
Interface CEO. “Our relationship with JBS Technologies resulted in an
industry-first product with functionality far beyond anything in the market
today. We are very excited to receive this award from an event that promotes
the latest trends in high tech products.”
CellSTART, on sale in stores nationwide November 1st, will retail for $300 with
a $99.00 annual service fee. The product was on display to the general public
throughout the four-day event in preparation of its national release next
month. “The response we have received from consumers was overwhelmingly
positive,” said Janelle Coffey , Crayon Interface’s National Sales Manager.
“Our biggest challenge over the next several months will be filling the sales
channels to meet the demand for CellSTART.”
Crayon Interface also showcased applications for home monitoring and control at
DigitalLife, including lighting control, door locks, temperature control and
appliance monitoring. On display was a live video feed to a home in Tampa ,
Florida with a lighting system controlled through cell phones in the booth in
New York City.
Crayon Interface’s Moshi™ wireless platform technology turns cell phones into
remote control and monitoring devices through graphical software downloaded
over-the-air to phones and a data network for dispatching messages between cell
phones and various devices. The same Moshi technology is being used to power
CellSTART for vehicles.
CellSTART was developed by Crayon Interface, and is manufactured and distributed
by JBS Technologies. For more information on CellSTART, visit
