How is film impacting (or being impacted by) the West Michigan technology scene?

This event will focus on the evolution of film, filmmaking technology and challenges, and the outlook for the film industry in the Grand Rapids community and beyond.

Panel Speakers

Chris Randall

Chris Randall

Chris Randall is a writer, producer, and director. He is also co-owner of Fulvew Productions in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Working in the video production industry for over 20 years, Chris has created many award winning commercials, web videos, short films, documentaries, and music videos as well as the feature film, “America’s Most Haunted.” He is currently in post-production on “Abandoned,” an episode of the upcoming “Local: The Series”. “Local” is a Twilight Zone style anthology series being created by select area filmmakers.


Skot Welch


Skot is the Principal/Founder of Global Bridgebuilders (GBB), a firm focusing on Organizational
Development, Cultural Transformation and Inclusion. He is also the founder of The Mosaic Film Experience – a High School/College Film and Interactive Media Experience focusing on Creativity, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Career Preparedness on the platform of mobile filmmaking.


Liz Merriman

Elizabeth Merriman is a multi-talented media maven and skilled coordinator of chaos with over a decade of experience in the film industry in both producing and production management roles. In addition to being adept at addressing the needs of creative clients and commercial content creators, Elizabeth is passionate about working with college students and under-served youth through teaching and volunteering. Elizabeth is great under pressure, literally — before entering the creative industries, she trained to be an underwater welder.


Hugh & Ned Ingalls

In 2015, Ned Ingalls, a gifted videomaker, joined forces with his entrepreneurial older brother,
Hugh, to form Ingalls Pictures. Their Grand Rapids-based video production company has since built a diverse network of artistic partners and an impressive list of clients. They have filmed in 23 states and 3 countries, serving niches ranging from corporations to sports teams to non-profits to weddings to recording artists.
